A range, because the star breakdown for this product was not available. Amazon rounds the rating it shows to one decimal, so the true average sits within a tenth of it and the answer sits in a band. Enter the visible percentages under Manual data for an exact figure.

To 4.8+51,246–65,887 five-star
To 4.9+131,774–161,057 five-star

Based on the rating and review count Amazon publishes. Amazon uses internal weighting, so the rating it displays may not be the plain average of the ratings behind it.

How it works

From a goal to an actionable number

  1. 01Reads the current rating, rating count and visible star split.
  2. 02Rebuilds the weighted rating from the five star groups.
  3. 03Calculates how many new 5-star ratings are needed for the goal.
  4. 04Shows review-base growth, difficulty and alternative targets.

Why the arithmetic behind a rating matters

A rating below 4.3 quietly costs conversion on every click you pay for, and the usual reaction is to promise the team a better score without knowing what that takes. On a product with a few hundred ratings the answer is weeks. On one with thousands it can be out of reach this year, and the honest move is to fix the cause and stop advertising into the gap. The merge calculation answers the other version of the question: what happens to the rating when two ASINs become one, before you file the request rather than after.

What it cannot see

Arithmetic on published ratings. It cannot tell you why the low reviews are low, and there is no shortcut worth taking: Amazon removes incentivised reviews, and so does UNITIX Agency.

Rating Tools questions

How many reviews do I need to raise my Amazon rating?

It depends on how many ratings already sit under the current average and how they are distributed across the stars. The calculator reads the published breakdown for the ASIN and returns the number of new five-star ratings each target requires, including the targets that are not realistically reachable.

What happens to ratings when ASINs are merged?

The ratings combine by volume, not by averaging the two scores. A product with 40 ratings at 4.8 merged into one with 4,000 at 3.9 barely moves the result, which is the part sellers usually discover afterwards.

Can I use my own figures instead of an ASIN?

Yes. Manual mode takes the rating, the review count and the star breakdown from the product page, which is also the route when Amazon does not publish a breakdown for the ASIN.
