October searched for dates that had not happened yet
Germany's biggest product search in October was "adventskalender 2026", with December still weeks away. It replaced squishy at the top, and the same phrase in other languages sits at #3 in Spain, #5 in Italy and #10 in Canada, with "calendrier de l'avent" at #4 in France. Halloween runs alongside it: "disfraz halloween mujer" is #1 in Mexico, "halloween costume" is #2 in Canada, "halloween decorations" is #2 in the United Kingdom, and "halloween kostüm damen" is #2 in Germany. We know the occasion because the phrases name it.
For a seller, the useful detail is the year inside the phrase. By October, German shoppers were already typing 2026 into an advent calendar search, so a seasonal listing that goes live in November arrives after that phrase has reached the top. We have measured four months of these tables, so we cannot yet say whether this is earlier or later than last year.
Squishy toys and advent calendars became one search
"needoh" replaced toilet paper as the biggest product search in the United States, with squishy at #7. The three products Amazon names for it are all Schylling and hold 45.7% of its clicks. The most clicked is the NeeDoh Squishmas Advent Calendar, with 26.6% of clicks, 1.4% of purchases on that search, and a badge of 30,000 or more bought in the month. The NeeDoh Nice Ice Baby at $6.99 has 3.0% of clicks and 2.0% of purchases, the largest purchase share of the three.
France shows the same crossing in the words themselves: "squishy" is #2 there and "calendrier de l'avent squishy" is #10. A phrase that joins a toy to a date is worth checking for in your own category, because it can be searched before anyone has written a listing title around it. These figures describe one search term each, and they do not explain why any product was clicked or bought.
Pokémon at 30 tops two countries, and clicks point one way
"pokemon 30 ans" is the biggest product search in France and "pokemon 30 anniversario" the biggest in Italy. Variants reach #5 in Spain, #6 in both Germany and the United Kingdom, and #11 in Mexico. In France and Italy all three named products are Pokémon's own, and they hold 67.7% and 68.6% of the clicks. Mexico's biggest search is the opposite case, with 8.5% held by its top three.
In France, the Coffret Dresseur d'élite at €55.99 takes 45.6% of clicks and 5.1% of purchases. The six-booster Lot de boosters at €35.94 takes 18.2% of clicks and 25.1% of purchases, carries a badge of 30,000 or more, and sits at #1 in Jeux et Jouets. Italy has a similar split: the €59.90 Allenatore Fuoriclasse set takes 30.5% of clicks and 5.1% of purchases, while the €36.00 booster pack takes 33.4% and 11.8%. Rank these products by clicks and France has one leader. Rank them by purchases and it has another.
What this means for a seller running PPC
Spain's biggest search, "kindle", makes the same point inside one product line. The newest Kindle in Morado Ube takes 16.2% of clicks and 3.8% of purchases. The 2024 model in black takes 12.3% of clicks and 23.5% of purchases. In Germany, the Wera advent calendar at €57.49 takes 4.5% of clicks and 0.8% of purchases on "adventskalender 2026", and Mexico's most clicked costume takes 3.6% and 0.2%.
Across all eight countries, the product with the most clicks on a search was beaten on purchases on between 23.2% and 28.4% of the search terms we could compare. Before moving budget towards a keyword because one product leads it on clicks, look at the purchase share beside it. Amazon's report does not separate advertising from organic clicks and gives no reason for any gap, so it can tell you where to look and nothing more.
Britain's wind-up radio
The month's strangest result is in the United Kingdom, where "wind up radio" replaced toilet roll at #1. The most clicked product is a Solarbaby wind-up solar radio at £17.95, at #3 in Electronics & Photo, with 16.5% of clicks, 7.6% of purchases and a badge of 5,000 or more. Further down the same ranking are "aa batteries" at #8, "power bank" at #12, "water" at #15 and "aaa batteries" at #16.
The list has a likely source. On 22 October the Cabinet Office published its Be Ready advice, asking households to be able to manage for three days, and its checklist names an FM radio (battery or wind-up), a charged power bank, a torch with spare batteries and bottled water. Maplin's managing director told reporters that radio sales almost doubled in three days. Our table covers the whole month, so it cannot show searches rising after that date, and AA batteries also rank #14 in the United States, so the link is our reading rather than a measurement. For a seller, a public checklist like this one is worth reading as a list of search terms. Next month's table will show whether the radio stays.
Prices are what Amazon was asking when this page was built, 2026-11-04 13:23 UTC, and they are the one figure here that changes by the hour. Everything else describes a finished month and does not move.
Every figure is measured from Amazon's Brand Analytics search terms report for October 2026, pulled in full for each marketplace. Films, television and books are excluded from the biggest product search. “Bought in October” is Amazon's own badge on the listing as it stood at the end of the month, in Amazon's own rounding, and it is blank where Amazon showed no badge. The money beside it multiplies those units by what the product cost during October, averaged over the month and weighted by how long each price stood, so it is a floor rather than a total. The price at the top of each product is a different figure: what Amazon is asking now.
How to read these figures
Search frequency rank is Amazon's own ordering of the phrases shoppers typed, most searched first. It is a position and not a count, so a phrase ranked first was searched more often than the phrase ranked second and there is no public figure for how much more.
Top three hold is the share of a single search term's clicks taken by the three products Amazon names for it. It describes one phrase and not a category, so a marketplace where the top three hold half the clicks on its biggest search can still be open on every other phrase.
Click leader beaten is the share of published search terms where the product taking the most clicks was not the product taking the most purchases. The report records that the two differ and says nothing about why, because the data does not carry a reason.
